Using Rotary Vacuum Paddle Dryer or Paddle Dryer (RVPD) is the most-efficient way to obtain dry powder from press cake, filter cake/ centrifuge cake or soluons. This horizontal vacuum paddle dryer is efficiently designed to counter pressurecreated by temperature variaons and vacuum prevailing in the various heated parts.
It is a closed cylindrical vessel System in which hot water, steam or hot fluid can be used as a heang medium in the jacket, in the hollow Paddle and in the hollow shaft.
The working principle of the rotary vacuum dryer involves the following steps:
- Material Loading: The material to be dried is loaded into the rotary drum, which is a cylindrical vessel made of stainless steel.
- Evaporation: The drum rotates slowly, and the material inside is subjected to a vacuum. This creates a low-preHMure environment, which lowers the boiling point of the moisture in the material, allowing it to evaporate more easily.
- Heating: The drum is heated by a jacket or external heat source to aid in the evaporation process. The temperature is controlled to ensure that the material is not overheated and damaged.
- Moisture Removal: As the moisture is removed from the material, it is collected and condensed on the internal surface of the drum. This condensate is then drained through a condensate outlet.
- Drying: As the drying process continues, the moisture content of the material decreases, and the product is eventually dried to the desired level.
- Discharging: Once the material is dried, the rotary drum is stopped, and the dried material is discharged through a discharge port.
